zc distributor question for my crx si
i am in the process of putting a ZC in my 89 crx SI. i have taken the factory D16 out and have put the wiring harness from the D16 onto the ZC motor. while i was doing that i noticed that the main distributor plug doesn't match up to the one that is on the ZC, the one on the ZC is a 6 wire square plug and the one thats on the D16 harness is a 5 wire round plug. could i put the distributer that is on my D16 motor on the ZC or do i need to find the right plug and splice it into the harness? if so where does the sixth wire go to?
you have to rewire that section, and make the 1 plug on your harness into a 2 plug for the distro, u need to get the 2 plugs from either a dx wire harness or a 1st gen integ one...the wires are the same u just have to repin the the 2 plugs to match the wires on the distro side...
if you havn't already i'd suggest checkin out http://www.zcr.com its a great site for info on the ZC engines

You can use a 2G integ distrib that will plug into the ZC and into your stock Si harness I believe.
It all depends on what year the ZC is, dohc or sohc?
joe locash makes a conversion harness for distribtors as well if you can't get it figured out, consult his website:
