Default b16 crx

im limited to funds right now i have 2268 and i can't find a decent car for the money...my friend has an 89 crx si shell that he will sell me for nothing, and a i found a b16a1 cable swap for sale and the guy is taking it out of a 88-91 crx so it has axles, shift linkage, mounts, (wiring harness possibly) and of course the ecu...i figure if i can get the shell for 300 and get the swap with everything for about 1500 i would haev a decent swapped out crx...everyone let me know how a b16 is in a crx thanks

Man they all should have came with the B16A as far as I'm concerned. It's got a 100HP per liter, small displacement, short stroke for plenty of high RPM's. The engine was used in the JDM CRX SiR so that should tell you right there. When I was looking to buy a CRX, I was looking for a stock one but figured for a bit more money I could get a modded one with a B16A already in it.
