Is Nitrous dying out......!!!!!!
Im seeing the Nitrous racers die out nowadays!!! What's the deal?

nitrous is cool , but its a PITA to have that be your only power on racedays. bottle heat and pressure tend to make more things to keep an eye on

Had to turn it down a little though and find another way to make more power. Monitoring bottle pressure and temp isn't that big of a deal to me but the $$$ and the constant hassle of having to fill bottles and switch them out during races for consistancy gets old. I found that when you spray larger shots (100+) you only get a few good pops out of it before you start losing power and top end.

I think its great for a fun street car but I cannot see a 4cyl lasting very long with enough nitrous to be competitive in sfwd and deffinatly not hotrod. I would bet it would be a nice setup for sportfwd class or whatever the drag radial class is called.

You can buy a V8 car from the dealership w/ warranty and spend less then 1k in mods including the nitrous and go fast as hell. You put a shot on a stock honda engine and your still slow as ****. It takes alot of money to make nitrous 4 bangers fast.. Most people use nitrous because its cheap. When its not cheap, no ones gonna use it. but seriously, if I were still into the street racing thing, I think you could have a real decent set up running on nitrous. Say a built LSvtec, cammed, w/ gsr tranny/4.78 fd, CX hatch, 100shot, hondata controlled and rolling 225 BFG's. From a dig through 3rd I don't think many cars would hang on the street. I was just thinking about that set up the other day hahaha.
I just hate it when I run out cause theres no NOS refilling stations at 2 in the morning which is most likely the time im using it so im gonna sell my kit

it's still around in the street races that go on around this area...( 805) but they are old v8 guys going into imports..... they swear by it but I have seen som dope *** nitrous setup, TREVOR had one and he made 200 whp and would squeeze, it was pretty quick from what I remember.

I was all bout the bottle for years, but im gettin away from it these days. I did make some decent power on the 75 shot though, and the car was a lot of fun on the street

i have an nitrous set up planned for the se-r, i was going boost, but decided to stray away from the trail
i will be doing a direct port progressive nitrous setup looking to spray around 125-180shots on the stock motor, (pray for me)
right now im building another motor using 300zx pistons my compression ratio should be some where in the 11.XX region, JWT cams or COMP cams ported head port matched manifold ect ect, im going to drop this in a 91 sentra E, gutted out on some 22 inch slicks, spraying around 200 shots Direct port progressive, im hoping to see what kind of times i will get out of that, i was also thinking about using a sr20ve since it comes with 200hp stock

Theres some new nitrous tech. in the near future. A good friend Butch Schrier is working on some high pressure systems and a whole different delivery systems.

Ive basically got a stock B18c1 (gsr) with all bolt ons- SKUNK 2 IM,CAI, AEM cam gears, full MSD ignition, and Hondata!...not much!
I got built lsvtec in my hatch and I had it boosted for last two years. I'm going back to nitrous 100 shot to start with and I might add second shot later. we'l see how it works out.
