h22 swap in 90 accord, how to check codes?
Hey guys, got an H22a swap into my 90 accord and as far as the mechanic can tell the wiring is all right. He said there is something missing called the secondary air intake bypass valve that I probably need for the VTEC to kick in right. Also with the ECU that came with the swap the engine runs pretty retarded. With the ECU for my F22 at least I can drive the car but there's no VTEC and it stutters a little accelerating from a dead stop. Anyway, I was wondering how to check an H22's codes since this ecu dosnt have the nifty led on the ecu?
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!
if it's obd1 you check it the same way as you did with the f22... jump the jumper harness and count the flashes that the CEL makes.
After doing extensive searching and re-searching, I found nothing explaining how to jump the jumper harness. I'm sorry to have to ask this, but would you mind elaborating.
Thanks!
Thanks!
You should search on how to pull up a code, it's been asked a lot. BUT I am a nice guy so I will tell you. Passenger side kick panel, you will find a blue connector, shove a paperclip into both ends of it and start counting the blinking of the CEL. Short flashes are 1s and long flashes are 10s.
