Default Need new valves for H23???

So I was driving home after dropping my son off and I heard a pop then the car just died. Turns out the Crank bolt backed out and caused timing to jump I don't know how many teeth. Bottom line is the valves are bent I put it back together and the car idles like utter crap. Would I be better off just replacing the whole head or does anybody know where I can get valves cheap?
Thanks for the help guys

I think the valves themselves are pretty cheap

is replacing valves pretty much a DIY mod ??

Where does the "3 angle valve job" come into play in something like this,, and would it be needed in the above circumstance? ...

A valve job would be great that that requires specialized tools.
I will probably just replace and seat them to get a good seal.

Just get some OEM valves, and some new seats and away you go. Dont forget to use assembly lube and what not when putting everything back together. You may need a valvespring compressor as well. Check out the helms on head assembly

Unless you can find some uber deal for a new head with low mileage, just swap the valves and new seats would be good idea if they are cracked or worn.

Then i would suggest buying a head from someone with low mileage for about the same price maybe a little cheaper depending on how bad they want to ditch their h23. That seems about the only option you have. Sad that you have to buy a whole new head because of damn valves. You can get h22 valves all over the friggin place

Wait till you spin a bearing or destory a crank. lol i agree with you. Im sick of my damn money pit. wanna buy it?? lol. I just wanna get something i can get in and drive. no more slow for speed bumps. no more having to park like 2 blocks away because i dont want someone to ding the crap out of it. ah well.

low milage h23 head, or h22 head with new stuff. good luck on your decision.
