i was trawling throught the threads, i couldn't find one that addressed this issue...

is it safe to run the car without the cover on the filter?
i'm loving the sound the car makes on WOT.
i can't see any reason why it would be dangerous, but any suggestions would help.

I've tried that before as well. The sound is rather nice, but you'll notice the filter gets dirty VERY quickly and your gas milage might suffer after you put the cover back on. You're probably not gaining any power as well, so it's all about the sound...

You'll have to replace your filter alot faster too...
