Default Tire recomendation?

As soon as I can sell my current wheels, I would like to purchase a set of 16" Rota Sub Zero's. What would be a good all around tire that would grip like hell, be good for cornering, and be safe to use in the rain? Also, what size would you guys recomend? Im thinking some 205/45/16? Would that be about the diameter as the stock wheels and tires? Oh yeah, I don't want Toyo.

Kumho Ecsta 712 in 215/40-16.

If you want a really good AutoX tire you can get the Falken Azenis in 215/45-16. Treadwear is only 200 and you have to be careful with hydroplaning. But damn if they don't grip.

I don't know if I want 40 series again, I think I want a little more tire.

How are the Nitto NT-555 Exttream Performance, and the Yokohama A520, or paradas?

If I were to go to the 215's, would the side wall be about the same heigth as the 205's in 45 series?

Grips like hell, good cornering, great rain performance...

Dunlop SP Sport 9000 in 215/45-16. What do you mean by "safe to use in the rain?" If you mean the most resistance to hydroplaning, then I'd definitely recommend the 9000s. I'd have to vote against the Kumhos if you want your tires to "grip like hell" simply because they don't.

215/40 tires have an 86mm sidewall. 205/45 tires have a 92.25mm sidewall. Bout a 1/4-inch difference total.
