hello all i have a problem, my k20a seems to be lagging alot in higher rpm's like its struggling to push itself, does anyone know what the problem could be? besides a cat blocked up with oil that i still have in my car, and can anyone tell me how to improve acceleration and overall top end speed? thx in advance

 

check your ECU.

 

spark plugs. maybe they are messed up.

 

Are you saying that your cat is clogged? Then thats deff your issue at high rpm.

 

is the vtec still working ? there is a tsb on the vtec pressure switch or solenoid ....might check into that.

 

are you throwing any codes?

 

nope, but from what i hear the hondata reflash would help out the JDM ECU

 

well in japan their gas has a higher octane. but I would still check the spark plugs and other things. The hondata flash is pretty good because they have tuned it for american gas.
