how high can i rev my 97 jdm type r safely?

a quick search "jdm itr rev" led to a couple posts with this info...
8600 is fuel cut
8400 is redline.

I'd say anything over that on stock cams is probably pointless. Your torque/hp will fall off around 8 anyway. (at least mine does in my usdm itr) Good luck, furthur searches would help. Keep in mind your stock tach ins't necessarily always accurate.
