Default Wild Type R spec GSR

Hi considering having this setup when i rebuild my motor:
1994 Integra B18C
GSR Ported and polished head
Type R valves, valve springs, retainers
CTR Cams
CTR Piston 0.25 OS
ITR Rods
ITR head gasket

Is it safe on compression? Will i have any problems with the larger piston in the GSR head? clearance wise.
Will i need to change valve guides when changing to ITR valves as the have smaller stems.
Any other OEM Acura/Honda goodies worth changing to from ITR or CTR?
Thanks dudes any help appreciated.

no problems but if you are worried about clearance, have the head clayed for tolerences with different cam gear settings. Im running CTR pistons with JUN III and have no issues.

Are you considering increasing your redline? If so, just go with aftermarket springs and retainers (you willl probably upgrade from ctr in the future). If you run the ctr pistons, it probably isnt a good idea if you milled your head because in the long run you might want to run bigger cam. Also I dont think there is anything significant about the itr headgasket compared to other oe gasket.

just as long as you don't run a thinner head gasket, you might even consider running a thicker one so that you have more clearance between the quench area and the piston. rememeber, the gsr combustion chambers are blocked off on the sides. the b16 and type r heads have a raised combustion area. that is why you lose compression when you use a b16 head compared to a gsr head. if you run a thinner head gasket the piston will hit the head for sure in a gsr. but to be 100% safe you should check all clearances before you start the motor.

Yep i am considering increasing to 9000-9500rpm limit, i will only go that far on the strip though.
I am using OEM parts as they are good value for money, aftermarket are twice as much,
but yeah i will prob upgrade again later.
thanks for advice!

You wont make much power after 8500 with CTR cams. Not really needed to rev that high.
