"in some cases the accord is lighter than the accord" ?? i think you need to throw the rock away, and lean back haha jk. anywho check this block i found on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...04494
why run 14's and 15's when you can have a fully built h22? all you need is a head and internals. which will probably be close to buying a complete swap.

Nah bro he is right. Accords, mostly the older ones, are much lighter than ludes. For instance the 90 accord dx coupe weights something like 2800lbs. A lude is always 3k and above.

a 92-96 VTEC lude weighs 2932 ,a 97-01 5sp base weighs 2949, the only ones that weigt over 3k are the 97-01 SS 3009 and the SH 3042. a 4 door ex accord (~3050)with an H22 under the hood is going to heavier than most ludes. if you buy a 2dr or stick with the DX/LX trim you will weigh less.
it takes about 100lbs to notice .1 in the 1/4 mile. so unless you have a 2dr DX that weighs 2800 or a 4dr EX your probably not going to notice the weight difference.

not by much when compare apples to apples.
a 92 EX 4dr auto is 3049 v. a 95 EX 4dr auto is 3075. i owned both vehicles.i have the honda booklets from the dealer with all the weights according to honda. when you start comparing LX to EX, auto v. 5sp, 2dr v. 4dr. that's where people find the difference in weight.

93 accord lx h22a 5spd w/ cf hood, 16in axis touring cups, no backseat or any trunk/roof/pillar lining = 2780lbs w/ approx 1/2 tank gas
same car but w/o carpet, tar, dash, blower motor + everything listed above = 2600 lbs
