CTR pulley on B16a-cant find a straight answer!
ive heard that its not safe because its not balanced but ive heard it comes balanced from the factory. ive heard that it is better to have a lightweight flywheel but i already do (my original has a crack in it and figured id replace OEM,CTR). some people say its good and others say its bad.what should i do??? any suggestions or comments welcome...
your always gonna get mixed answers/reviews on honda-tech because people have different opinions so In my opinion i would have no problem using the CTR pulley since its an OEM part and I would never trust aftermarket pulleys. I hear that the D-series engines are harmonically balanced and the b-series isnt balance from the pulley (something along those lines). If you have an extra 50-70 bucks go for it. You might get a small increase and I think you would be safe running it. Also it all depends on your application, how long you want your motor to last, and you being in New mexico i would definately want a/c cause it sounds hot down there.
I would recommend it to any person just doing OEM upgrades but as u get into doing crazier build ups I would suggest either the stock one if u can't afford the Fluidampr haramonic balancer
I have the CTR one but I am purchasing this one as I have read that using it with anything that is going to rev high all the times will harm or destory ur bearings done this already ain't going to replace and re grind the crank again.
that is my 2 pennies from experience

Just don't do the aftermarket UD ones.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Even my friend that is a mechanic has done it and his car is still in tip top shape.
