I don't know if I should admit, but my last turbo project was a 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT.

I still have it. Yes it rips pretty well. The guy who helped me do it does a bunch of the northstar motors also. He is building one right now with the huge single turbo and a stand alone system.

local guy turbo'd a 3 cyliner metro, has a full cage and stuff, says it is for top speed runs, hit 138mph i think.

turbo setup looks like a t3/t4 drawing througha 4 barrel carb, no intercooler, external wastegate w/ open dump tube and side exit exhaust.

Worked on a friends mustang with a 347 and a pair of T70's, that is a pretty gross ride.

Building a twin turbo LS1 powered rail as we speak, it's gonna be nasty.

Helped on a turbo GSX-R 1000

Gonna try my hand at a turbo for this GSX-R 600 motor I have here and putting it in a little gokart dealio.

Is the guy who did yours Jon Lagler?

If so he does awesome work.

I also think this will be his first N*. The other motors he swaped were pushrod caddy engines.

Went from a mid 16 car to a best of 15.5 @ 95 so not so well.

The problem in the end wasnt the turbo or the engine management but the valvesprings were worn out. I bought a used motor when I was 19 that was less then what I was told it was.

I put a stock engine back into the car and the turbo setup is in my basement and sold the built motor rather then wasting more time with it.

this was the car.

this was the ghetto install.

the turbo itself.

The engine management was pretty cool. We(Jon) hacked a 85GM computer and made use of a 2 bar map sensor, knock sensor and recald the fuel tables for larger mustang injectors.

I've done a few...

95 240sx
98 240sx
02 focus sedan
99 Mazda 626
95 VW gti 2.0l

I like boosting Hondas more than any of these though
