my problem started about a week ago, when the car all the sudden misses at idle or when i shift gears an let the rpm's go down the car sometimes stalls. i was told to change the fuel filter. distr. cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires are new. i checked for proper gap was ok. now fuel pressure is ok, vacumm lines r also ok. i recently bought a seafoam additive and pour it in into the throttle like it explains, problem kinda stop but still misses at idle but not when shiftin gears. could it be timing, egr valve or etc... what do u guys think?

 

did you wash the engine. there may be water under the cap.

 

no, i didnt wash the engine. the rotor and distr. cap are brand new........

 

Your best bet is to take a look at the Helms manual (you do have one, right?) and check the whole EGR system. Also, check idle air control valve and your ignition coil.
