It's been a couple of weeks since i've gotten my new clutch and still haven't put it in...i'm planning to do it this sunday and i was wondering if you know a good way to put it in; let me rephrase: FASTEST way to do it?
different people tell me different things and i wanted to get all opinions together to let all of us learn
So any know-how or a good procedure will be very helpful
Thanks in advance

bring it to your friend who works at a tranny shop. we did mine in 2 hours. but seriously, if you have access to a lift, it will make things MUCH easier

i'd say buddy with lift or send to tranny shop.
Or do a Homer Simpson pull up to a pit lane during nascar and yell hurry hurry new clutch!

Fastest?
Don't expect lightening speeds especially if you haven't done this before.
Take your time and make sure it's done right.
Get a Helms for all the torque specs and full detailed step-by-step instructions.
Plan for a Saturday and part of Sunday just in case you get lazy.

your best bet to do it fastest on your own is to...
-break only the lower control arm balljoints
-drain tranny and radiator and remove axles from tranny and let dangle
-loosen the trans bolts
-lift out the entire engine/trans assembly
-set down and pull off trans
-change clutch
-re-install everything in reverse
with handtools it'll take a few hours
with air just a couple hours
IF you DON'T have a hoist, the experienced friend, and a flat surface... take it to someone who does, or it'll be a good day+ job

my first time took me 6 hours with one friend helpin... no hoist, and on a slanted driveway at that.
hardest part was stabbin the tranny back in.
and if you do it w/o a hoist.. dont do it on a slanted driveway. an hour of the work was tryin to get the motormounts lined back up b/c they got all cockeyed from the motor leaning backwards

Agreed, I pulled my ZC motor in 2-3hrs, it may take longer but it makes putting the tranny back on and realigning it so much easier. Not to mention torqing the pressure plate bolts, aligning it etc. Its certainly an easy way but not a fast way.

would you disconnect everything from the engine just as if you were doing a swap?

so i got it done, i took out the battery, intake and dropped the tranny, and replace the clutch, and everything went back together....had too much beers while doin it, so it took longer than it should have
