I was wondering if there's anyone here who knows of a product that patches or can fill the hole of a car dash. You see when I bought my car, the previous owner decided to drill a hole on the dash in the middle to mount his monster tach (which I replaced with a 3 3/8" defi) and I don't how it is in the middle. I was planning of transferring the tach to the A-pillar but I don't want to leave the hole on the dash uncovered. I don't want to resort to changing the whole dash. Anyone here knows what I can do except for covering the hole with some big spencer freshener lol (like someone here suggested)
what part of the dash?? the plastic part or the more like fabric part? cause if it is the plastic part i think it would be easier to just get a new piece of plastic. but then again where could you mount it so it is on the plasitc, i think you do mean the fabric part in which i have no idea for sorry man!

Im talking about on top of the dash on the left of the passenger airbag. The previous owner cut a hole through it to run the wires for the tach. The fabric part is gone as well as the plastic part, basically a big circular hole in the middle
Okay well im currently in auto collision class and i am just 200 hourse short of finishing my 1000 hour class and m,y boyfriend is a certified body man that worksin a local body shop. Any who- im sorry to say that if you want that holw in your dash to look un-knowticable, that isnt gonna happen. yes, you can buy dash repait kits, however there a Pain in the A$$ and they never work out right or look good. My friend has a 92 hatch and it had a blown airbag and it riped the dash. he tried to fix it and it looked like crap. But it probley also has to do with the peron. My opoin is that I would either get yours re-uppolsterd or go to a salavge yard and get one, but then you'll be spending a lotmore $ and you'll have to get the vin switched. Thats also a Pain, well good luck with thsi one!

ouch lol sounds worse than I expected. I gues I'm just going to buy a couple more defi BF gauges to sit next to my defi tachometer like turbopanda's setup since one meter in the middle looks liek a freakin alarm clock.
At least I wouldnt have to drill more holes with Defi's daisy chain wiring system

I have one of those Leather/dash/cloth/vinyl repair kits as seen on TV but I'm not sure if it'll work fine and I don't want to waste my time if it wouldnt look like before.
Your best bet is putting something like a plug in the hole. It won't look stock, but you might be able to make it look purposeful. You'll never EVER make the dash look normal again, so I wouldn't even worry.
