Okay I put this motor in my car a while ago and am just now getting the ecu and converting to 0bd1. I was told that I have to have the 4 wire o2 sensor for this but on the manifold that came with the motor there is a 1 wire sensor. Did the people I bought the motor from just switch it or can I run 1 wire?
If you are OBD-1 then you need to match your ECU.
Get the right O@ for your ECU - 4 wire.
The ECU will be looking for the 4 wire for it's heater circuit.
Without it you will get a nice fat ECU code.

but I don't have to switch to obd1 injectors. correct? thats what I heard anyway. I was planning on it though so While the subject is here I read on a write up on here that you just the the Injector box out/off and just soulder all the wires together and then put electrical tape on them is this correct? don't wanna funk up my car because I also heard that if you cut those wires that your car will catch fire.(maybe if they arent souldered correctly or if your supposed to be running with the IB?

No, you don't have to use OBD-1, OBD-2 injectors. You can use the preOBD ones and keep the injector resistor box.
Since you are going to use the OBD-1 injectors, all you do is cut the green injector resistor box plug off and solder all 5 wires together and tape them up/shink tube them.
