87 steering wheel shakes
when i drive the car every once in a while the whole steering wheel shakes violently..i thought it was the wheel alinment, its not..checked that...what do you think it is?

If this happens at high speed, it's your wheel balance.
If this happens when you step on the brakes, your rotors are out of round.
In no way is this the wheel alignment.
Get your wheels reblanced. Note: do not go to Costco. Those guys do so many cars each minute that they don't have the time to get the balancing done right.
