Is there any fast stock bottom end D16a6s out there
Is there any fast stock bottom end D16a6s out there
i went the track and ran a 16.5 in my 90si hatch
bone stock with every peice of interior and was wondering if there is any hope to get my hatch into the 14's all motor with the A6?
i would like to play with it for a little bit why I build my ls motor
thanks

Mines not exactly what I would call fast. But I can keep up with my buddy who has a Trans Am. Ive never gone to the track yet, but we had a little run on the street one time and he bet me by a car length or two. A week later he ran 15.0. I should def. run 15.5 or better and all I have is homemade Intake using a OEM S2000 filter and a d16y8 header.

y8 head with a good cam and P&P....Larger throttle body..
bigger injectors with a fpr...
Nice tires..

I dont no if that will get u into the 14s ...all depends on ur skill
Its not worth it if ur dropping in a different motor anyway.....</TD></TR></TABLE>
id say stay with the a6 head, cheap port job - no polishing...mill for desired compression, y8 headgasket, "stage 1" cam (pick a cam in your price range), adj. cam gear, y8 or z6 intake manifold, slightly larger TB (if you find one for cheap or free), stock injectors, stock fuel pressure (fpr may be needed if using y8 or z6 intake manifold), i/h/e, and yes...nice tires.
this is similar to my setup (stock bottom end), and it pulls rather well. if i wind it out past 5500 its tricky trying not to spin the tires in 2nd and 3rd. not that this is any way to measure power or how fast the car is. if i only had a chassis dyno somewhat close by!

So just boost the A6.
when the LS goes in all you will really need to swap out is manifolds and the LS can use the same turbo system you had on the A6.
