Ok a buddy of mine has a 88 honda accord engine a20a3. When he shifts its ok but he cant gibve it much gas or it doesnt go anywhere. It just kinda reves up and then it slwly goes. Anyway if you know what this might be let me know...clutch?

 

Are you saying that he can put it in gear and all is fine, but when he gives it gas, the engine just revs?

If so, most likely, you need a new clutch.

yea thats what I was thinking. He has to put it in gear and give it very little gas to move. to much and it just revs up till it catches finally.
