2000 Accord F23A4 lookin to hit 225 horses please help
Okay, so I'm a newbie in the whole Accord market but I just recently got a 2000 Accord EX coupe. I've got 17x7.5 with Kumho Ecsta 711's so the car has some pretty good grip. I already know what suspension parts I'm going to be getting along with brakes but I am pretty lost on the engine tuning aspect.
I don't want to have too high of a boost and I'm only looking for around 215-235 horses out of the thing. That is, if it's safe and not too expensive. So, my main questions are as follows:
What kind of increase can I expect to see from a new intake/exhaust/headers set?
What kind of turbo or supercharger would you suggest and would that even be a good idea on the F23?
Any good suggestions otherwise on what to do to boost horsepower?

Turbo is your only choice. There isn't enough room there to fit a supercharger in there. There are several boosted f22/f23 accords out there and it IS worth it when you look at output vs. cost.

Decide on what your "reasonable" goals are compared to the amount of money you have to spend, then go from there.

find a good local shop to build you a custom setup. it will be cheaper and better. the premade turbo kits aren't all that.
i think the 200-220whp range would be pretty safe and reliable.

depends on where you want to power to be. if you want it down low, starting at around ~2k RPM, then a smaller turbo is what you want. if you want it starting at ~3k RPM, then a medium to slightly large turbo is what u want. There are a **** load of choices out there, so it really depends on ur setup, I.e, exhaust diameter size, etc...
You will get alot of posts, here, as well as searching, as to a T25, T3/T4 this a/r that a/r etc.... Your best bet is to read up well, talk to alot of reputable shops, talk to the tubo manufacturur, and then go wit ur gutt.

with an f23, its a well built engine. it has good low compression for turbo, and a garrett t3/t4 with a cooler should do just fine for what your looking for. my buddy has an f23 turbo, and thats the setup he is running and he is looking at about 210 @7psi. He has had up to 10psi and he ran it on that for 3 weeks no problem, but to each their own.

I beg to differ, you wont even come close to that with just the regular bolt-ons. Just save and go turbo all the way, its way much better and worth while.
From reading on ehre, the accords respond very well to boost and can withstand boost very well. THeres plenty of guys who already ran crazy amounts of boost on their stock accords, AccordFreak namely. Id say just boost it and dont waste any money ont he regular bolt-on crap.
