2.5 exhaust piping is overkill on a bolt on ls, and a stock mufler on the end of that piping is double kill..

so as far as ya time goes, it is what it is, just changing that exhaust piping and mufler will do u good..

i dont think changing the exhaust piping AND muffler will do anything.

decide which direction you want to go motor wise with the car, as far as FI, all motor and all that, then plan out your mods

I seriously think it will do something...

I don't know about you but from stock to 2.5" is a big difference.

Not bad for an almost stock LS

I ran similar times with mine with I/E, full interior w/ system

to be honest, with those mods that seems very unlikely that was your time. that is extremely low for an ls.. where did you run, what was the air temp, sea level, etc... again, for intake exhaust that is insane.

I don't know much about the LS/RS engines, but I didn't think they could get those times with just those mods.

I agree. An LS running mid 15's with just that? Hmmm.... sounds kinda fishy.... However it is possible. For example, I've seen a H23 95 prelude run a 14.7 with only intake and exhaust. Yeah, I didn't believe it either until I saw the video. It was done at rock falls about 5 years ago by a 16 year old Hmong boy from here in the Twin Cities. Only 7k miles on his engine at that time, what a great way to break in his engine eh? I guess... all engines just are built equal.

60ft time is key in this situation. What was it? Must have been low because with that MPH you definatley had yourself a very good launch. Im going to say anywhere from 2.1-2.2.....

also, that stock muffler is definately bottlenecking your 2.5" exhaust, which is probably too big for your setup. But wouldn't be bad to have for future modding purposes.

once again i call BS. ur car has to be completely stripped for it to run a 14.9 with only I/E/H. show us some slips bro. did u buy ur car new or used? if u baught it used then there must be some other mods in that motor.... high compression pistons/cams/B16 tranny....
14.9 only sounds correct if ur car is totally stripped

care to explain...

with the mods that are currently listed for the thread starter his exhaust is too big 2.25 is sufficient. He might actually be losing power.

yeah 2.5 would be fine if he had some more air flowing through that engine... otherwise that is a great time for an ls, nice job

Anything around mid 15's sounds about right. It always depends on the driver.
