Default Koni Yellows/Eibach Prokit... Canyon Road Test 1

I recently installed a set of Koni Yellow struts and Eibach Prokit.

Before the install I couldn't stand how the car handled. There was constant understeer under any acceleration during turns and the tires whined like a bitch.

After the install, the tires grip REALLY well during hairpin turns at speed and the car is even predictable! There is much less, to no understeer.. I took my car through Malibu Canyon then up through the Santa Monica Mountains to Mulholland. It's a great road with twisties galore, a great road to test any suspension!

One 30 min pass up, and one 30 min pass down. The car handles great!

To anyone that isn't happy with the handling of their car, and are wants a car that turns on rails... I totally recommend Konis/Eibachs!

Next step, Type-R Anti Sway...

those roads are so much fun to run on, it is really a great place to test any suspension.

Next step, Type-R Anti Sway...
The Type-R rear swaybar will complete the package!

Brett... When I get the Type R sway, will be ordering your mounting bracket. I'll also be using the directions that you have on your website.. Good pictures, looks like a straightforward install.

TIA

Wait'll you upgrade the sway bar! Woohoo! You'll love taht too! Just becareful not to swing out the rear! hehe!

I have the same spring/shock combo and i am very happy with it as well. The car did feel like it leaned a little bit more than I liked it to on the road tracks but with the a larger sway and better tires, the car stuck to the curves! The LSD R tranny didn't hurt too! hehe!

Cool...I can't wait to get the Pro-Kit! How much did you pay for the Yellows (I hope you don't mind my asking)? How is around town/ highway cruising?

I got the yellows/springs used. My friend had them on his GSR for a year or so... I got the whole set for 400 bucks They're in great shape, and should last me a few years, or as long as i own the car.

I love the ride. The springs are stiff, which add to a great feel of the road. The struts are adjustable, so I can make them really really stiff, or like stock... I prefer a stiffer rebound.

Like I posted earlier, I took the car into the canyons (I do this about once a week) and loved how they perform. That in itself is worth the money!

Did I mention No understeer, even with the crappy Michelins

I have the same setup and totally agree, its definitely worth the money. The two best factors was the non-slammed stance and the fact that I didnt need a camber kit.

Hrm...well, I have 15" wheels with Dunlop D60A2s (205-50/15)...so this suspension setup should kick serious *** on my car.

That's what I have on my g2. No camber kit needed Great ride and handling. All I need is rear swaybars to complete the setup.

with a BSQ mounting kit of course!

Marc, you will probably need to adjust the konis to compensate for the thicker bar. If you claim to have no understeer now, then you will have a bit of oversteer after installing the bar.
