Default Q about this RS*R header

I won this on ebay....i tried emailing the seller to find out the collector size but left it too late for him to reply and so bid on it anyway...i'm hoping that it has a 2.5" collector (it looks to be about that) but i cant be sure...allit says is that it was taken off a JDM DC2 B18C integra and didnt specify ITR but i know many of the exhausts available for the SiR-G integra also had the larger 2.5" (2.38" to be exact) collector....what do you all think????

It's not stolen. That piece looks like its been sitting in a junk yard exposed to the elements for a long time. Look at how rusted the o2 sensor is.

Why don't you:
a) try measuring it
b) take off your header and compare

It's very difficult for at least me to tell the difference between a 2.25" and a 2.5" collector just sitting there with nothing as a frame of reference.

Wow, this was the header to have circa '97, before the whole 2.5" JDM collector thing happened.
RSR is out of business (AFAIK) and this header is prolly 2" in diameter... should bolt-up to stock cat.

EDIT - chances are good that it's a GS-R header

**** i'm hoping not as my 96spec ITR already has a 2.5" stock collector so theres no point in putting on a header with a 2" collector...I'll just sell it if its 2".

sscguy: I havent recieved it yet so i cant say what size the collector is and i asked the seller when he sent me the shipping details but he hasnt replied yet.

If it does turn out to be a 2" collector, is the 4-2 section the same lenght as the OE cast 4-2 section and would there be any benefit in bolting the 4-2 part onto my 2-1 OE pipes?????

The seller just emailed me back and said that the inner diameter is 55mm (2.2") so considering the 2.5" JDM collectors are in fact 2.38" (60.5mm) and taking that the thickness of the pipe is approx 2.5mm wide then that equates to 60mm OD...so i'm good to go

It arrived today and it has a 60.5mm collector so its all good. Primaries are 45mm, secondaries 50.8mm so the same specs as the A'pexi GT header...hopefully have it on the car before the end of the week :-)

Are you gonna get it dyno'd? Not that it would matter a whole lot to the rest of us, as finding one would be super tough if RSR is out of business. James, just out of curiousity, do you have any dyno charts of the Fujitsubo header? I've always wondered how good it'd be.

RS*R arent out of business...their website is still up and the link to the US site works...but they dont have any headers listed....

http://www.rs-r.co.jp/main.php3

I have no plans to get the car dyno'd at the moment so it'll have to be the butt dyno for figures once i get it on the car

Where did you hear of RS-R being out of business?

That is not true at all.
