Default Random Question [Body Kits]

Hey guys,

I'm all new and stuff, but I had a few questions. I have a 1991 Honda Accord EX 2Dr and I'm looking for sites where I would be able to buy a body kit from. I've been searching on google but all of the sites that seem to come up look a bit shady, if you know what I mean.

I'm going to need somewhere I can buy the whole kit from though, I need the front & back bumpers and two sideskirts. Preferably A site that comes with them prepeainted if possible. If you have anything at all, just leave a comment or something.

Other than that, hello everyone.

IMO, body kits look really bad on accords, however, new lips and side skirts look excellent, so i would suggest looking more at those as opposed to a full body kit.

as far as where to get them, theres plenty floating around e-bay, but if youre looking for an actual site, i believe buddyclub has some

"body kits" are retarded......most places who sell them are shady, because their selling a product to stunna's who dont understand how to protect their money, and they can get away with scamming them.....

http://www.wholehyper.com has some....but a front lip and MAYBE some larger but not gaughty side skirts are ok

That's a generalization that is true 90% of the time. There are some body kits that are tasteful like Bomex but they are few and far between. Still they are out there....lips do look good though

Good deal, as you all can tell, yeah I'm n00b. But not so stupid as to not ask questions. Heh.

Right now I'm looking at some stuff on http://rev-auto.com :

http://rev-auto.com/store/prod...id=46
http://rev-auto.com/store/prod...id=93

Dunno, but they look pretty sweet.

As for the sideskirts, I'm still checking out some. I figure, I'll have to get them painted won't I?

thats why i put body kits in " "........body kits are what ricers put on the neons and paint primer yellow.........a "tasteful body kit" is really just a new front and rear bumber and sideskirts, not a "body kit"

boddy kit = hood scoop, Z3 fenders, and names like "invader" or "black widow".....

I would like to get a rear apron for the accord maybe one like ricers have I don't really care I just have a small dent on mine and think it would be cheaper to replace it with one of those than to have mine repainted thats the only reasone I would put it on. I like some of the front fenders also but I'm not really into side skirts. I like them for the 5th Gen though not earlier ones I think they all look retarded on earler ones.

Bling Bling! Make sure you don't have enough money after you buy the kit to actually PAINT it. It gives you the sweet two-tone custom look.

Just kidding. I'm not a fan of many body kits but it's your car, do what you like. Make sure to post some pics if you actually do it though.

First off finding a body kit for that generation of accord is going to be a complete pain in the *** to find i have a 90 and when i first got it i wanted to put a body kit on so i started searching the web and didnt find anything that looked half decent. It seemed like all the companies didnt really start to make stuff for accords until the next gen. Second my personal opinion is that body kits to me never look good and when the come in they never fit right there is always some customizing to do to get it to fit right so unless you know how to do body work I would take to a shop. Also you always see them hanging on by like two screws and half of the paint missing on them, I think you should try to find a carbon fiber lip kit for your car I dont know how easy that will be I never looked but that would probably look a lot better then a full body kit. And please dont put some god awful looking two foot high erector set spoiler on i just have to laugh every i see one.

Hahahaha!

This has got to be to COOLEST accord I have ever seen You should get this kit.

I'm just messing with you. Some kits look nice, but others look like a ******* 5 year old came up with the design while playing with play-dough.

No offense to you dude, but your car is exactly everything that I find wrong with the import market.

Did you plan it to copy the Fast and the Furious civics or was the black car with kit and green neons just coincidence?

Nope, just worked out like that. But, hey, I live in iowa. We are a bunch of ricers. I thought it was pointless to make my car fast and be more concerd with speed and then no one would appreciate it.

Tell me again why you are worried about what other people think of your car? You should be your car so that YOU appreciate, be it show or speed. Don't do it for other people.

If you really want people to "appreciate" your car I would suggest hanging out with your ricers buddies a little more, or going to another site such as SHO because you won't find much love for a car like that here on H-T.

BTW your car gets a big from me.

There's the problem. You did what you thought others would like. Screw them, do what you like. It's your car not theirs.

Dont worry about it. I'll admit it, but i bet a lot fo the crusty veterans on this site won't; I did ricey **** to my car in the beginning. My taste has gone up. There is still some rice but I've learned to appreciate the finer things in life. Like a car that runs.

Ahhh, yes... Let's slap on a few APC stickers and bolt on an aluminum spoiler that's more fitting for grilling, and a hood scoop that traps all the incoming bug and road debris and a muffler that's large enough to smoke a turkey in.

now THAT's cool and will add 50 HP to the car. Why didn't I think of that?
