I found at one time a FREE Honda Factory manual although it was the UK version of the Honda. It was on some Honda forum out there somewhere. My computer took a mind dump and now I don't have it after bringing it back from the dead. Does anyone know where this download is located? TIA

Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot. The online manual is available with the blessing of Honda UK. It is not illegal if that is what you are talking about. Go to the link and read for yourself. If it is something else I had no earthly idea what "rule" was "broken". The page expressly states the following: "This manual has been reproduced with permission from Honda UK"

talk to Drew M, or Nick M. then...its breaking copyright laws and helms is pissed about it, i posted up the link before and they were pissed at me, it was linked to ice_ _ _ _ 's website and its the same manual that is on the uk site...just trust me on this one...

 

You are not breaking a copyright law if Honda UK has given permission for the public dissemination of its material (the copyright holder) for reasonable use. Are you trying to say the CRX UK forum are lying about having permission? It is not the US manual . It is the UK manual. If Helms owns the US copyright (for assumption sake) well this is not the US manual. If Helms owns the UK manual then I guess they need to hire a solicitor in the UK to sue Honda UK. If the forum mods "think" this is illegal and I don't see how (and I am a lawyer) then WTF, delete it.

I understand that crxgator. No dig at you. If it is available as a download for free to the public with permission from Honda UK then it is just that. Now may Helms write a nasty to scare somebody to protect their US manual. They might. That doesn't mean the manual on the CRX UK link is illegal (assuming it is with permission from Honda UK). I have seen people threaten copyright infringement before with no real legal basis for it. They just want to throw their weight around and scare someone. Again if the mods want to dump this thread well they can.

it was the same manuel on the uk site that i got on the other and h-t mods freaked out by me linking them...so...idk, i guess they will decide on this once again...

the topic is mute now, and you got the manual and thats all that matters...
