I got scamed by a guy name Chad (not sure if that is a real name or not). He is somewhere in rosemead or san gabriel area.
Story: i bought a 5lug conversion from him and he told me that it was originally from 00 usdm itr. 2 days after, I just found out that it was original 4lug that modified to 5lug. i called him but he already disconnect the numbers. He and his friend delivered the suspension to my house so i don't know where he live nor his friend. however, i got the license plate number and in process of contacting the police in the area for help. In the mean time, if you guys happen to know this guy, please let me know and thanks for the help.

called the cops and they advised to call DMV. do u think DMV would help me?

 

 

the dmv will need to notify the registered owner first, to authorize them to give you the address. I think this was covered in the "Privacy Act".

Im suprised that cops didnt even check it out for you, they can pull out plate no. & get the registered owner's address.

they both are asian like chinese. he has an ek or something like that. if I know where he live, I would make him pay more than what I paid.
