Default Question about the intake

I have a 2001 civic LX and i recently intsalled a short intake and ever since, my engine is hotter than usual. Really hott. Is that a problem or is it like that? When i had the stock air box it wasnt hot as it was wit the intake. thnk rply

what indication are you getting that says the engine is hotter with the intake than before? Intakes would not affect the engines operating temp.
