Good luck making 550 horsepower with an LS. I think your goals are a bit unrealistic. What kind of headwork do you have done? What compression are you running? These types of things will help in picking a turbo, but I really don't think 500 is going to be possible. You're going to need something bigger than a SC61 too.

Show me some dyno graphs of 550 HP LS motors then. You would need to do a ton of work to them to get that type of power (block girdle, massive headwork, etc.). Unrealistic on anything other than a drag car at least.

Block girdle, what the hell are you talking about? You arn't going to make 550 WHP on stock sleeves and a block girdle. I'm running a sleeved motor, fully ported alaniz head, and aftermarket cams in my SIR, and it used to be my daily driver, how is that unrealistic? What you're saying doesn't make any sense.

No kidding, a block girdle between the main caps for the crank because a LS doesn't have one stock. You're going to have to rev the **** ouf a LS if he wants to make that much power so he'd need a block girdle of some type. He already said he had sleeves done, but didn't have any specifics on anything else.
Was the motor in your "SIR" a LS motor pushing 550 horsepower as a daily driver?

When you said girdle I was reading quickly and mistook it for block guard.
An LS motor will still have roughtly the same power potential as an LS/VTEC or a GSR, it's just going to take more boost to get there, so theres's no reason why he shouldn't be able to make 550 WHP out of a streetable LS motor.
And no, the motor in my REAL SIR (I'm from Canada) was not pushing 550 WHP as a daily driver, but it was making over 440. It's a turn of the boost **** and some race gas away from 550+ WHP, just like a lot of peoples street cars on here.
