Well ive had a S2 IM on my b18a for a while now. My first major problem is that the S2 IM didny have a spot for some valve that i assume has something to do with the IACV. I think that on later model b18b's and most dohc vtecs, this valve is on the bottom of the throttle body. On my LS it went on the pasenger side of the IM. Anyway...this isnt a big deal except for the fact that i have to hold the throttle open until its warm.
The main point of this post is to figure out why im leaking gas. When i first put on the IM i couldnt get the fuel rail to fit right...then i call a friend and he tells me that i have to take out the plastic rings that were in the injector bosses and only use the rubber gromits. Well i did that and i finally got the rail to bolt on. It was fine for a while then i started noticing a strong smell of gas while the car was warming up. Come to find out that the injectors are a little loose and fuel is leaking out from the top of the injectors. So i took it all apart and noticed that the gsr injectors had filters in them...and i didnt think that they did in stock LS injectors. So i got some LS injectors and sure enough....no filters. So i put in the stock injectors without filters, which allowed the rail to sit a little lower and it helped a little. But its still leaking some....especially on the #1 cyl injector.
Has anyone had a similar problem...or atleast know of a way that i could fix it? I cant figure this out.
BTW-sorry about the double post but ive got a long drive to do in a few days and i wanna get this fixed ASAP!

Are you talking about the gromits that are on the IM themselves...or the little rubber gasket things that are at the top of the injectors...where it goes into the rail? Either way i dont really think thats the problem because the injector gromits are new and i dont think that its very likely that 8 different injectors have bad gasket/o-rings. But stranger things have happened
. If it is the o-rings at the top of the injectors how can i fix it...can i buy new ones or do i have to get whole new injectors? Also...when the rail is bolted down and everything is secure...you can still move the injector up and down a tiny bit. It seems like i need thicker gromits or something.
