Default 1995 Si

Okay, so how much do you guys think a 1995 Honda Civic Si in perfect condition (everything), completely stock (everything), original owner, and 140K mi should be? This would be in SoCal. I kinda think his price of $4950 is a grand too high. On KBB.com, Edmunds.com, and Nada.com, the most I got was in the low $4K ($4.2K maybe), and the least was in the high $3K ($3.8K maybe).

Crappy picture, but the car would really look better in person.

Just recently, I was beat to a 1994 Si (completely stock, good condition, clean title) which sold for $2500. And a 1995 Si (completely stock, good condition, clean title) which sold for $2995. But this 1995 Si that I'm talking about right now is in immaculate condition, tip-top.

I know a few people looking for a CLEAN 94-95 black Si....bone stock all original.

If it's as clean as you say....minor rock chips, little to no door dings, interior perfect, engine strong....then I think anything over 4200 might be a little too high. I do know people would pay 4500 for a car like that....but it's all economics- supply and demand. If you really want it and can't find anoter cleaner, pay what you can affpord

92-95 Si's are the ****. And finding a stock one is hard as ****. I wouldn't pay anymore than $4000 for one, though. Maybe 4500 if it had ultra-low miles and flawless paint/interior.

I paid $7000 4.5 years ago for a 92 Si, but it was pretty much perfect.

I guess try 4000, and barter from there. If it's in as good condition you say it is it's probably worth it.

I already tried. That bitch wouldn't budge. I asked her if she would go by any car pricing guides. She asked what prices:

Kelley Blue Book: $4,165 (TOPS)
Edmunds: $3,374 (TOPS)

She said she wouldn't sell it for anywhere near $4,165. Then I asked her if she'd approve of an appraiser to come to her house and appraise her vehicle that I would arrange and take care of. She said it was ok. I forgot to ask if she'd sell for the appraiser's price tho, lol. I mean, I'm willing to pay around $100 for an appraiser if that helps knock off a grand from her asking price.

But yeah, the car is in tip-top condition. No dents at all. All trimming is still fresh and black. Windshield wipers are not bling-bling. Brand new tires. Stock everything other than an aftermarket CD head unit. How much would you say it's worth?

haha, not to sound like an ***.. but even if ur not willing to pay 4200-4500 for it, someone else will. a car's worth depends on the buyer. 94-95 si's are harder to come by. i, myself, owned a 95 si hatch. the noticeable differences are.. passenger airbags, updated ac condensor, slightly bigger disc brakes, some 94's came with abs, the seats are a lot nicer than the 92-93 si's, and the glove box is wider. i also notice the interior is a darker black than the 92-93.. or maybe the 92-93's are just faded cuz it's older. either way, like someone else mentioned, it's hard to find any hatch in mint condition, and most of all, bone stock. also, i wouldn't rely on the blue book to lowballer the lady. it's all about supply and demand. the blue books says a 92 CX hatch in great condition is worth no more than 1800.. are u gonna find a clean ***, bone stock hatch for 1800 around socal? no.

The disks on the 92-95 are 9.5". I've measured them myself and went to the dealership and a auto import store for OEM parts. On the Si's equipped with ABS, like mine, the disks measured 10.25". Same goes for the 93-95 EX's (with differences being, the EX's having rear drums). I used to think ABS were only available on 94/95 as well, but ABS were optional for 92-95 Si's, 93-95 EX coupe's, and standard on all EX sedan's. My friend's black 92 Si has ABS and so does another 92 Black Si I'm looking at. My 1994 Si had it as well. The difference in the 92/93 Si seats is they had the stripe thing going. The 94/95 Si seats had tiny rectangular checkered specs, and with red. I took some pics as well. This is for the black interior by the way.

As far as going by a car pricing guide, I can understand now going by that. I, myself, actually want to go by a Fair Market Value approach. The appraiser would go into the overall condition of the vehicle in detail. From that he will take a week to research how much Si's in both stock and supped up conditions go for in and around her surrounding area. I even went and asked a few insurance co's and a finance co (Household Finance) how much her vehicle would be worth and gave them her VIN# and it still wasn't even worth close to $5K.

Just because a car is bone stock doesn't necessarily mean those owners took any better care of it than those of us who suppe up ours.

It's funny when you're looking for a car, supply & demand is the excuse for the high price. But when you're selling that same car, people tell you, the price is way too high. Nobody would pay that much. My "friend" bought his car for this cheap, etc.

Thanks.

I have a white (rare find) 94 Si and a red 95 DX. I want a black (possiby red) 94/95 Si this time around. I just love the EH's. But it looks like my 94 Si will be gone soon. Somebody has offered to buy it and I'm actually waiting for him to call back because today he is supposed to give me a holding deposit for it.

Anyway, the purpose of this thread was just to see how much you guys would pay (at very most) for that black 1995 Si above. It would help me determine if I really want it that bad and if I did, should I push to pay the higher price she's asking for. I mean, those other 2 Si's (1994 Si & 1995 Si) that I missed out on where from females as well. Completely stock, good condition, and clean title. The 1994 Si sold for $2500 and the 1995 Si sold for $2995. I procrastinated this past week in calling them. I called yesterday and they were both sold to quickness.

Hey Scott,

Yeah, that's what I was thinkin' too. Even though her Si still has it's original paint and is still glossy. At least that's something I wouldn't have to worry about repainting. I want a car that still has a nice paint job (original if possible) Otherwise, I'd save a grand to have it repainted. Something I can go to car shows with.

I just bought a Red 94 EX coupe with mint interior, near-mint body, and only 74,000 miles for $4100. I had been searching for month or two straight, and this was the first EG coupe that I found that was in good condition and had less than 100k on it, so I was more than willing to pay decent amout.

I simply cannot believe how much those old civics still go for! My Neon is a 96 and is kbb.com valued at around 1500$ and I doubt seriously that I could get that for it were I to sell it. I actually wouldn't mind buying a 99 Si or something as a beater, but I don't see myself paying 10,000$ for one.

On a side note, that black Si originally posted does look like it's in pretty good condition.
