Default Important Questions I dont want to **** anyone off

Would you be upset if the new owner of your Integra Type R called you to find out the badge number? After you had it stolen. (new owner purchase from auction) legit.

Why would you give a ****? And, when you say, "had it stolen" what exactly do you mean?

Opie, who's about to get pissed.

well most cars that are received from auctions are missing the usual stuff and the new owners who buy these stolen theft recovery's usually want to know what badge number the car once was. But calling the original owner might bring up some bad feelings, I don't know. I wanted to know if anyone would be cool with knowing the car they once had will someday be well and running with a new owner.

if I bought a ITR from an auction and didn't know the number, of course I'd call the original owner and ask.

It's not like you couldn't have bought it back for yourself...it's just a car in the end

if you had it stolen, and they never found it, then suddenly someone calls you and they now have it, yeah i'd understand you can be mad.

But no reason to be mad at the new ownder.

I think I'd have told him the number.

It's an unfortunate set of circumstances, and I'm sure you'd rather have the car; however, the insurance company has already settled with you and you legitimately let the car go after it was recovered, right?

I know it's hard but our own pain shouldn't necessarily be the reason to deprive someone else of the pleasure of ownership.

No, I don't think I'd be mad. I'd give the number, to me it doesn't mean much anyway and at the point I'd be at after the settlement hopefully I'd be well over it.

But, I could understand the feeling and the lack of closure until someone pops up looking for info.

I check on my old totalled/salvaged R's whereabouts from time to time just for fun to see where it is and how many more times it has changed hands. To date it's made it from CT to CA and changed hands 4 times already.
