Default Some excellent before & after pics of my OEM Audi HID conversion

Just installed a set of Audi TT HID projectors on my car. I've been wanting to do this for 2 years now (ever since I saw skafia's A6 OEM retrofit.). I'm pleased with the conversion but I notice a little vibration when I go over large bumps unfortunately. The beam spread was not at even as I expected either but all in all it's 10 times better than a normal HID kit. BTW we opted not to use the RC exhaust piping to extend the projectors out because even with the plastic housings off altogether and the lights installed we still have virtually the same beam pattern. Not bad for $300 off ebay. I think I might take some more pics later tonight and post them.

Any reason why? Is it just to see the car?

As for the pics they are unaltered. I did take exposures of just under 1 second though using a tripod. I'll get some day pics.

I will get some pics of my beam pattern. I didn't take pics of the process because it was identical to the one on skafia.com.

I was wondering if anyone had a solution to a small vibration in the lens when I hit bumps. The projector is screwed on to the metal headlight housing with four screws. I figured it woul dbe enough. Any suggestions?

I don't understand why there's such a difference in color output.

What is a JB weld?

Had I had PIAA bulbs the color change would have been less but I had stock bulbs which are not the greatest. HIDs are pure 4300K white. It's just better technology I guess.

You should be able to buy most HID projectors for around 140-200 shipped. There are several specific projectors that will cost more. These include s2000, evo8, acura tsx, and acura tl (04+ bixenon). The prices on these units range from 300-500.

Thats all the proof I need. HIDs do work, they let you see more things, like that one tree. I'm sold.
