Ummm.. but for how long? Sure you can take a sawzall and have a party with it, but the flange on this mani looks like it is about to fall off with the bolts exposed like that. Not something I would trust for 600. Wondering what he will use for management on his budget... and he better be pretty good at tuning on his own too.

But otherwise, sure it looks great.

What turbo manifold did he use?

I have personally compared the DSM manifold to the H23 and H22's exhaust manifolds, and the DSM's ports line up perfectly w/ the H23, but it's WAY off from the H22.

That's a horrible manifold for the H22, if he did indeed use the DSM manifold on the H22 head.

Is this the same kid from homemade turbo? I still stand by that his head does not look like an H22.

h23 dmn setup is common bolt up issues thou but most who do the h23 dsm setup drill the mani holes wider to fit onto studs.

naw this kid just did this out of pure eurge for boost he doesnt post or run a turbo site. This was just a weekend project.

f22a, h23 and first gen dsm all use the same port/head pattern,

i believe the only difference is one small hole in the middle that is easy to drill and is required for either f22a or h23, not sure

now that's ghetto fab.

I am interested to see how long this lasts on his ride. I am unclear on how he even got the mani to fit the head. I tried one time to make it fit, but it just doesn't seem to go. The ports fit fine but the bolt holes are way off.

I'm going to have to call bullshit on this one.

In the post he said the ports matched up perfectly; I have personally seen an H22 head and exhaust manifold gasket up against a DSM turbo manifold in my garage, and the H22 comes nowhere close to fitting the DSM mani. ONLY the H23 and F22 fit.

He also said he made it all fit with only 20 min's of work w/ the Sawzall..................

also, wtf isn't he using metal piping for the charge pipe? It just looks really weird to me.

I don't think boost + budget go well together in the long term.

I have lined up the dsm mani to the h22 head and it doesn't look like it will fit at all. Don't know how he made it work.

Also, he said in his post that he hasn't hit WOT or revved above 4k yet.
