i was asking that man i was just wondering would u like an type r as much as an type r with an lsvtec?and i wanted an 94-96 rs because they are the littest but couldent u make an type r as lite with alot of work...

Take out the R's back seat and spare and jack and it'll be about the same weight as the base RS but will still have ABS, better brakes all around, better steering rack and whatnot to start.

Nope it's not. With a good driver the difference would be negligible.
Check the classifieds here or Ebay or other online auto auction site for a shell.
But personally if for some odd reason you're stuck on the LsVtec that is passé by now, Just get an RS, LS or GSR and strip it and build up the car for whatever it is you intend it to be, Which BTW you have never mentioned thus far, nor budget or goals, Yadda, yadda, yadda..... Broken record, skip, skip, skip.....

wouldnt be that bad. seen 3 b4. its just a motor, like anything else. hell, i have seen a R with a b16 b4.
I wouldnt worry about these people on honda-tech.
a type R is not just on the motor thats in it. I drove an R with a sohc for 2 weeks, and because it didnt have a "c5" in it, some smart *** people decided to try and say it wasnt a "type r" and thats complete bullshit.
I would go with it. Cheaper to build and provides a hell of a deck height.

I would go and search through all motor and see some of the threads created there, and try to gather as much info on setups rather than trying to talk to people in the R section, and ask them a question like this.
