WTF? RPM's Rising when I pump the brake?
My brother drove my car today and told me something pretty interesting.
If the car is stopped and at idle and the brake is being pumped the rev's slowly raise from about 800 to 1500.
Thinking about this my only thought is that the brake line is in contact with the throttle cable.
Opened the hood and took a look inside to watch the throttle cable while the brake is being pumped and there is no movement in the cable.
Any ideas on this.
Seems like something out of the circus...
Thanks,
Adam

I think he just has clown feet and was hitting tha gas pedal and the brake.
My brother almost killed my car the first and only time he drove my car.

Brakes are for pounding, not pumping
You are messing with the vacuum by pumping the brakes - it's normal. The changes in vacuum by pumping the large booster diaphram are feeding back into the intake, and messing with the computer's reading of your manifold pressure, and it's compensating. Quit it.
R brakes are for slowing caRs from triple digit speeds. If he cant drive it, give it up. We'll put it to proper use.
