Any suggestions?

I have a 92 accord ex, the engine isn't the prettiest sight. I was wondering if taking the header shield off would cause me problems, such as heat. Will the heat melt my fan? The paint on my valve cover is starting to come off, should i finish taking off the paint and leave it bare metal and shine it up?? leave suggestions, Thanks

Strip the valve cover and minus the heat shield should be okay as long as you don't take REALLY long trips in hot weather

Your car will be fine with no heat shield. But what are you trying to accomplish with the valve cover?

Simply cosmetic, did the same with the chipping valve cover in my lude, alot better than b4.
