Hey guys, i already did a search but nottin came up about actually removing the third brake light on the hatch. I have a gsr(2 dr.) and the trunk/hatch got replaced and the new one has a third brake light. Does anyone know how to remove it? And also how hard is it to remove? I kinda like it because i get rev on a lot by the 99-00 civic si's and when i race them, i always pull on them, they think it's just an ls . Should i keep it or remove it? Also do u guys think my car look better with or without the stock spoiler? i really want a type-r spoiler but can't find one that is painted in stock Milano red and don't have the money to get it painted.

Mine just fell of cuz of my system...the two bolts that go through the window in the back, go into these weird shaped nuts and they are all cliped on there bla bla bla ...the idea of it is to make it wher eif you take it off you have to buy a brand new one to replace it any way try to turn the bolts on the out side of the window if not ...pull on it

 

pretty much what Burnt said. You just pop off the outer cover that keeps the wires and such tucked away. Then you loosen the nuts that look like their 2 inches long with a 10mm wrench, disconnect the wire and just take it out. It's pretty straight foward, not to bad.

 

just keep the light and go wingless or CF trunk but you'll still have the third light unless you get new glass i say just keep it

 

i think its just look fine man..3rd brake light will save ur life or not..who know..just keep it on..

 

it is required by law to have the 3rd brake light.

About the spoiler, I personally dislike Integra without a spoiler. But it seems like lots of kids now-a-day don't like spoiler, especially that most of them don't even know what spoilers do. At the end, it is still your choice.

Spoilers are for race cars.

Matt, who still has his stock spoiler waiting to get rid of it.

i have a ITR hatch and spoiler on my car.. i like it.

if u dont want the third breaklight.. TRADE SOMEONE HATCHES..

because someone must want a spoiler but dont want to drill.. but it has to be a gsr. because gsr have no 3rd break light within the car. only on the spoiler

 

The 4 doors (mine) look good with know wing, becuase we have that flat trunk lid.
