Default Autolock ruins pedals?

Have any of you guys experience any wear or bending of their pedals from using the Autolock? I just got mine today, i'm wondering if it'll bend my clutch pedal over time? Or will it ruin my clutch when I have it engaged? Thanks

about a year now, no problems, except maybe peeling off my pedal cover, but that thing is pretty old and worn. It's all good though.

Hey guys, i am intersted in one of these relatively inexpensive theft deterrants. I know about layering and how the more time the less likely to be stolen, blah, blah. now my question is How effective are these things? Does it help alot, or is it just to scare away less experienced wannabe thieves? With a few more layers in my security blanket do you think that is sufficient. I dont think i will be towed or flatbedded so that isnt a major concern. So for autolock?

If a theif wants your car, he'll take it. With more security, it'll just make it more of a hassle for the theif and hopefully he'll just quit and forget about it.

Just do something creative to secure your car and tell no one!

It's not REAL security against thieves, it just gives them a choice. They can spend time trying to take it off and potentially get caught, or they can find another car down the street w/o one.

lol, this guy. Yeah, exactly true.. if a theif wants your car he'll get it, but if you have layers and layers it'll be more difficult and take more time to steal. Time is a theif's worst enemy. Btw, thanks for the pic... is the autlock suppose to be loose a lil? Or is it suppose to be completely tight and snug, to the point you can't even wiggle it?

yeah it's a lil loose, but as long as u can't press down the clutch at all, its fine.
And yes I heard lots of stories here on ht where the theives can easily break the autolock. I recommend getting a decent alarm and install some fuel cutoff switches.

true, but it buys time, and it'll take the thief more work to steal. I should buy 2 more autolocks just to **** them off..muahaha
