NOVA Mechanics? Steering Rack and Power Steering Pump Replacement?
Hey Guys,
Haven't been here in a while.
Anyhow I took my 94 Camry V6 to the dealer for a "check engine" light - fixed for 300 bucks to replace an O2 sensor, oh well, too late on that one.
But they also said I would have to replace my Steering Rack and Power steering pump because it's leaking fluid and makes noises. They gave me an estimate of 1300 (This is at a Toyota Dealership). Anyhow, I've never noticed a problem with my car - I'm wondering how serious is this problem? I mean if it does ever fail, that means I just have to steer w/o the power assist. Anyone have any experience with this?
Plus do any NOVA people recommend any garages in the NOVA area that you trust and they dont rip you off?
