Default Quick question on starter and alternator....

my car takes a while to catch when i start it...the battery was just replaced so its got to be either the alternator or the starter...and i'm pretty sure both have over 50k on them (however might be less)

how much are the parts / labor on these type of things and is there an easy way to check where the problem actually is...

anyway, thanks a lot for checkin out my thread

get them checked at a pepboys or kragen. if its not catching, then it has to do with your starter of flywheel

The alternator has no impact on starting . . . . and as long as the car is cranking strongly, it's not your battery or starter.

How long has it been since you replaced all the various ignition components? Worn plugs, wires, cap, rotor, whatever, will all make starting more difficult for your car.
