Default ST front sway bar mounting issues...

hey guys

have 7/8" ST sway bars front & back on my '91 Civic Si, and have some issues with the front one.
The ST main bushings are about twice as wide as the Honda mounting brackets, and when tightened up the bushings seem to be really squished.

Anyone have this issue and more importantly a solution? Or is this the way they are meant to run?

any info appreciated

you need the entire assembly, the bushing and the C-clamp. no other way around.
stock will rip out.

hey Stan

thanks for your reply, however the ST front bar doesn't come with its own brackets, just the end links and new bushings to use on your new bar but with the stock metal retainers (c-clamps?). I called ST about it and the tech guy said that the wider bushing vs narrow (stock) retainers was completely normal, but I am still not sure, and the squished bushing look bugs me.

does anybody who actually has one of these installed care to comment?

thanks again

i have both the front and the rear bars installed. i'll go and check exactly how i installed them (been a while now), but i am almost 100% certain they came with bigger c-clamps.
