If the knock sensor creates a voltage? OR creates resisitance?

AND what the proper test is and the values.

The knock sensor is just a microphone of sorts. You could pull it from your motor, hook up a lab scope to it, tap it on the bench and watch a waveform appear.

Just like an O2 sensor, it will generate a voltage all on its own.

To test it though, you never make a voltage measurement. According to the Helms, after an ECU reset, if the code reappears, then you:

Check the wire to make sure it is not shorted to ground and also has continuity back to the ECU. If this checks out, try a new KS. If that doesn't solve it, try another ECU.

Honda knock sensors range is 0-5v dc output.

honda/acura knock sensors r made of ceramic disc bonded to a metal diaphragm

sensor produces an ac signal when engine knock is detected
as intensity of vibbration increase ks voltage increases
ecm/pcm retards ignition timng base on ks input
