Can a acura type-s engine and tranny fit into a 99 accord V6?
The chassies are very similer and the engine bays look really close to being the same. If you have the time and its that good of a deal get it and try. If it doesn't work then just sell them and get your money back, or even make some.
Yes it will work but wiring that thing will be a biatch. Go visit http://www.v6performance.net, they have some one attempting it and have a whole thread on it. Its also been done already too. Theres a guy on there selling his Cl-s swap 6spd supercharged accord for only 18g's as well.
Yes it fits, and i know one that is for sale, $18k, 00 with a SC J32A with 6 speed tranny.
the new motor has about 5k the tranny about 10k and the car about 60k.
the hardest psrt he had was when he originally had the accord engine, tricking the ECU into believing the tranny was indeed there and functional.
i think the engine swap solved all that.

No you dont. I use to say the same thing when i had my 4banger. Now I have a V6 and wish I had my 4banger.
Only thing I like about the V6 is all the nice options and 5 lugs.

Yeah dude, the V6 aint all that, plus the only option us V6 guys have is expensive head work, and Supercharging, headers, pullies, exhaust, intake, thats it.
00 and up had distrubutorless ignition, so we cant even upgrade that more than just spark plugs.
Oh yeah that dude that has the swap, i forgot to mention, its supercharged too, so its a CL-S 6 speed engine and tranny with a Comptech SC sitting on top of it. full body kit and custom interior too, and i think Lambo doors, or not, no he doesnt, but anyway... thats over 300hp. in an Accord. $18k takes it last i heard.
But who knows, it may be long gone by now. Anyone that is really intersted can go unto http://www.v6p.net and PM him.
