Any benifit on modding a 92 integras internal computer?

Any benifit on modding a 92 integras internal computer?
Some kid I know bought a 2004 SUNFIRE and says he will add an extra 42 HP by ******* with the computer.
Now, its not that I dont believe him (completely), but is anything like this possible to do to an integra? If so I would like to give it a go on my car

yes, there is a benefit. it's called "tuning." 
but for seriously, there's no real benefit to messing with the ecu of a stock car. all they do is advance the timing hardcore.
