im not sure about the hondata, but i have pulled CEL codes whne there was not a CEL on. this was done on my 93 accord. so maybe you might just try and see if you can pull any codes even if the CEL is off.

I believe this is right. That's the Hondata telling you it's time to shift. Prevents you from having to cut a hole in your dash to mount a seperate LED for a shift light.

Mrmmm...cuz maybe you aren't always at 8000rpm+?

There is a shift light with Hondata because they put one there.

Hmmm, that does sound odd. Yes, if it was the shift light, it should go off when you shift. I'm running an older Hondata stage 4b, and my shift light setup is custom. Therefore I can't be 100% sure it is supposed to flash the CEL (vs say the seatbelt light) for the shift light. Maybe someone with a newer S200 can chime in here. However your Hondata definitely should include the shift light function.

Search HT or go to the cspeed site and find out how to pull your CEL codes and what they are. That will help.

Tweeter harness as a jumper plug and check the code.

Definately should ?

I had the CEL come on a few times when I was running the Hondata S200/P28 setup, and it was mostly when trolling around in traffic.
Always went away by itself and I never figures out exactly what it was all about ...

Yes, I'm too lazy to go look up the s200 specs and options on Hondata's site, but if I remember correctly, all models of s200 include the shift light function. However I don't recall which light it flashes. Further, it's not the shift light from the behavior he describes.

Is everyone happy and understanding what I meant now? Sheesh. How about this: Go to Hondata.com and look up what you bought, and learn about how it works?
