My prelude tells my its overheating.
I've got an 93 prelude 2.3 and the temperature gauge in my dash said my car was overheating. I replaced the T- stat, bled the system, and the fans do come on. It seemed to work fine for a few hours when its decided to jsut over heat when i stop at lights, or traveling slow. So then, i went back and bled the system again, but no it says im over heating all times when i drive. I jsut drove my car for 15mins while the gauge said i was full hot, then popped the hood, and the motor seemed normal temp, coolent wasnt boiling in the over fill or anything odd, except for the gauge. I feel im being tricked, and my be need new senors, am i right?
I'm telling you, try the ground wire first. Check this out. Let us know.

Thanks man, changing the ground wire did work. Its kind of funny a little thing like that can cause such a problem. Can u help me with this question? Do you know of any h22vtec motors for sale, that arnt's so expensive like i see online?(oem or jdm)
lol, i was having the same problem today...it would go up like crazy and then i would open my hood..engine was pretty cool..i could touch it and it wouldnt burn my hand..and the thing was like right at the red point...btw this was in my sisters integra..and then i turned it back on and itwas fine...went home..tried to bleed it, but then it wouldnt go up..turned heater all the way up and wouldnt go anywhere..revved it for like 5 minutes and i got tired since it wouldnt go up and i just turned it off and added more water/coolant in there and tried it again...and nothing, so i just put the radiator cap back in and it has been fine now.

Cool...glad that it worked. Now you can look for something else to fix; or better yet...mod. That's what I do. As soon as a problem or project ends; I start another one. I've got the bug. LOL.
No dice on the cheap motors man: just visit the FS thread frequently.
