Bumper bar requires replacement...need help
I've picked up a "Show off 3" fiberglass front bumper for my 93' Civic and the only way I could install it was to remove the metal bumper bar/crush bar(I don't exactly know what it's called) that was attached to the frame by four bolts. Dose anyone know or have any ideas on how to construct another, lower profile to fit, bar/brace for my Civic?
The main reason that I want to reinstall it is to tighten up my chaise again. It seems to sway around corners a lot more now.

Ok...I'm thinking about using round tubing, kind of set up like a strut bar. Any insight? Do you think that maybe I should just go buy some square tubing? or an L bracket looking bar?
only problem with this is that the stock bumper beam is meant to crumple, whereas the metal bar would transfer the force throughout the car.
dude i dont think it is a good idea to remove the bumper reinforcement or make your own. like code blue said:

if you were to get into a mild front end collision it would probably cause twice as much damage to the surrounding area than it normally would have with an OEM bar.
where is the bumper bar rubbing on your new body kit at?

I know that by removing the bar puts my car/myself into danger if I were ever to get into an accident...that being said with the aftermarket bumper I can't keep the crumple brace attached to the car. Wouldn't putting something in it's place, replacing the stock beam be better than not having anything at all?
