Zc and Si tranny questions

Default Zc and Si tranny questions

i have a 88 sedan dx with the zc in it im getting ready to swap in a 91 si i tranny from a crx can i use my old axles from my dx tranny and also will i have to get a clutch that will fit the si tranny or get a zc clutch.

You can use the SI axles. You have to use the 91 SI clutch disc, pressure plate etc to match the transmission. Its a direct bolt up.

your question was about "zc and Si tranny"...
then you said can you use your old dx axles...
do you have a dx or zc tranny in your car now?

i have a dx tranny now but since i cam use my dx axles all i need now are the 91 SI clutch disc, pressure plate etc to match the transmission. Right.

If you have a 88 DX tranny in your car now you have the odd # of splines. When you put the 91 Si tranny in it will not fit the clutch disc. You can do 1 of 2 things. You can use a 89 clutch disc and pressure(DX&Si are the same) or you can get a 90-91 flywheel and use the 90-91 clutch set-up. I would use the 90-91 flywheel with the 90-91 clutch because its a little bigger so it will hold a little more power.
