Default whers a timiing gun plug on z6?

does anyone know where a timing gun goes on a z6? I cant find it.

there should be a aligator clip for the positive on the battery and then a clip that you clamp on to cylinder number 1 spark plug wire

theres no specific spot on a motor for a timing gun

What kind of timing gun is it? does it have a black clip, red clip and a larger clip?

You be able to just hook up the black clip to the negative on the battery and the red clip on the positive on the battery. And then that larger black clip goes to the #1 ignition wire. Then you just look down through the engine bay towards your crankpulley and aim the timing light at it.

ok thanks, im still a little confused on the crank part...Im am somehwat familiar as to what mark I have to line it up with, but what do do once the timing gun is in place?
